3 months after the start of year 10 my daughter had spiralled from a capable learner who was confident to have a go at maths problems and open to learning from her mistakes, to an angry, frustrated and unhappy girl struggling to make sense of where she had gone wrong and losing all confidence in her ability to ever understand. I wanted to find someone who could teach my daughter the pleasure of learning math. My ultimate objective was for her to like math, instead of just passing the exams (though it was part of the goal of course).
