2025 Maths GCSE Timetable
15th May Paper 1
4th June Paper 2
11th June Paper 3
Year 11s did you know that you get the grade you deserve by practicing maths.
"Wait! I have to put effort into improving my grade?"
YES! Unless you put in effort then you will not remember what you have learned and what you are learning in class every week.
Only you can do it
Your teacher, maths tutor, brother, sister or dog
cannot do it for you,
they can also not make you do it.
"But Hannah I don't know where to start."
I will always recommend "Do a little bit and often."
Here is one way to start...
15 minutes, at least 3 days a week
5 minutes - one or more topic specific questions on BBC BiteSize or Maths Genie.
5 minutes - create or revise with your flashcards.
5 minutes - Quick Fire Quiz

25 minutes, once a week
Repeat a past paper question.
Make five quick flash cards from your class notes.

Tackle a Problem Solving Question from my bank of questions here.
Repeating past paper questions is the single most effective tool that I used to get a first class degree at university .
Try it for yourself by picking one of the questions from your last test that you got wrong, but then understood when your teacher went through the answers with you. Can you get full marks on it yet? If not then repeat it until you can.
The answers and mark schemes to most past papers are on Maths Genie.
Creating and using flash cards is the tool that my students use to make their learning stick.
Flash cards need to record what you have learned. Start by picking one short question from every maths lesson you had in the past month.
Then USE THEM! They will not help your learning stick unless you practice with them.
A little bit and often!
5 minutes a day is all it needs.
"Hannah helped me to identify the right topics to focus my revision on
and pinpointed areas when I could pick up extra marks."
